About

dotca was founded in early 1998 by a collective of musicians and artists who's basic intentions were to share creative ideas. Originally based at the One Eleven in Manchester, this was to be the home for BVW, Steve Gears, Marconi Union, Ephraim Washington, Prospector, DinSync, Since1963 and B:dumB:dum Sound. The One Eleven was housed inside an old Victorian mill, this space was used by the artists to work through ideas that manifested themselves as multi media events. However these events were staged fundamentally to fulfil their own interests and were often performed privately.

Unfortunately, in November 2007 the One Eleven was no more due to fire, this left dotca without a HQ. Following interest and requests for their work, the last 12 months have seen the collective working towards creating this website, which is the new platform for dotca. Operating from independent localities, they still continue to carry on their ideals through this website. Various works past and present are now available for download from the catalogue/shop.
